| The Hayeses (Caroline Langrishe
and Roger Allam), the posh village couple,
are being plagued by someone who appears
to want the heavily pregnant Mrs Hayes
to miscarry, just in time for Christmas
Eve. But is it the ghost of Grace Danby,
the wronged Victorian maid, or a nutter
who needs to be found before he kills?
The police are informed when there
is believed to be an intruder at Mrs
Hayes' home. The Police eventually
discover that the recent happenings
were caused by a young lad whom Mrs
Hayes had given up for adoption many
years before. However, an agreement
is reached. Meanwhile Mr Hayes is
entertaining and holding a ballroom
dance competition. Mary and Blaketon,
to the surprise of Mr and Mrs Craddock
win the ballroom dancing competition.
Here, Mike and Jackie have their first
kiss and Sue, to Phil's delight returns,
but only for Christmas.
